Exhibitor Spotlight: Tweezr — The Surgical AI Safeguarding Legacy Financial Systems

Company Name: Tweezr

Tweezr is surgical AI for legacy financial systems – we let banks and insurers safely evolve decades-old codebases incrementally, without the cost, risk, or failure.

  • What challenge are you helping financial institutions solve?

Banks are stuck between slow delivery on fragile cores and risky big-bang modernization. Their critical logic lives in COBOL, Java, C++, and PL/SQL that's poorly documented and dangerous to touch. We make that logic explainable, navigable, and testable so they can build, refactor, and migrate safely—leveraging their existing core instead of replacing it, all fully on-premise with zero customer data exposure.

  • What's something your team is particularly excited about right now?

Winning Best of Show at FinovateEurope 2026 for the second year running. What makes it land isn't the award itself, it's why we won: Forrester called out that we help banks modernize complex legacy estates without wholesale replacement. We use deterministic analysis, knowledge graphs, and AI to document existing systems, map technical and business dependencies, unpack embedded business rules, and make legacy logic explainable to engineers, product teams, and regulators.

  • What's the biggest opportunity you see for financial services over the next 3 years?

Turning legacy from a liability into an asset. Every institution is under pressure to ship AI-era features fast, but their core logic is locked in code nobody fully understands anymore. The winners won't be the ones who rip-and-replace—they'll be the ones who make their existing systems explainable, navigable, and changeable.

  • What industry trend are you watching most closely in 2026?

The shift from AI hype to bank-ready execution—AI that can actually operate inside regulated, on-prem environments without sending code or data to external services. The conversation this year has moved from "what can AI do" to "what can AI do safely inside our walls, in a way we can show a regulator."

  • Why did you decide to exhibit at FinTech Connect?

It puts us in front of exactly the people living this problem—the engineering and transformation leaders at banks who've been told for years their only options are slow delivery on a fragile core or a risky replatform. We want to show them, in person, that there's a third way, and that they can see value in days, not years.

  • What's one thing the industry often gets wrong?

Treating modernization as a replacement project instead of an understanding problem.

  • If you could give the industry one piece of advice, what would it be?

Understand before you replace. The instinct with legacy is to tear it out and start fresh, but the logic buried in those systems is decades of hard-won business rules and edge cases. Make it explainable first.

  • What's a book, podcast, or resource you'd recommend to anyone working in fintech?

    Gene Kim's The Unicorn Project.

What can attendees expect when they visit the Tweezr stand?

"A live demo, not a pitch deck. Bring a legacy challenge and we'll show you Tweezr mapping a system's real behavior, surfacing hidden business rules, and tracing the root cause of an incident in minutes."
