Delio works with leading financial institutions to deliver customised technology platforms that optimise the distribution, transaction and reporting of private equity, private debt, real estate, social impact and fund investment opportunities.
How did the idea for the business originate?
It was in our co-founders’ early careers, in wealth management and corporate finance, that led to the recognition that the demands of wealth creators were changing. This new generation of wealth creators were becoming more interested in investment opportunities they could know, see, touch, feel and understand.
This observation was ultimately the genesis of Delio, and led to us building a tech solution that allows financial institutions to further advance in the private asset space in a structured and compliant manner.
Do you have customers yet? If not, how far into your business lifecycle are you?
We currently have over 200 clients using our platform
including top tier global banks, family offices, angel networks, fund managers
How have you funded your growth to date?
We have successfully secured just over £1M of funding
to date. We are proud to say that funding has predominantly come from revenue
generated by the business itself.
What would a successful 2018 look like for you?
2018 has been incredibly successful to date, with a number of new hires joining the team and new clients onboarded, while big improvements have been made and new functionality added to the Delio platform.
We are in conversation with a number of organisations regarding both new business as well as partnering and developing the company with others, we’re looking forward to seeing these relationships progress as the year draws to a close.
Outside of your own business, which start up do you admire the most and why?
Our work with Delio has led to us doing a lot of work in the social impact space.
In the day to day of this part of our business, we encounter some fantastic startups. I wouldn’t like to single one out but some of the motivations behind these ideas and the potential impact is hugely humbling.
