Brian Baldacchino is the Head of Lending Strategy and Corporate Development at Allica Bank – the UK’s only full-service FinTech bank dedicated to established SMEs, a vital yet underserved segment of the UK economy. Since launching in 2020, Allica has lent over £3 billion to businesses and raised more than £4 billion in deposits. The bank has earned widespread recognition, including being named:  •    Fastest Growing Technology Company in the UK (2023 & 2024, Deloitte) •    Fastest Growing Private Company in the UK (2024, The Sunday Times) •    Fastest Growing Startup in Europe (2024, Sifted)  Brian joined Allica in 2020 and has been instrumental in driving the Bank’s rapid growth. In his role he leads both inorganic growth (including M&A, forward flow partnerships, and fund raising) and organic growth (covering lending portfolio management, market entry, and credit/product strategy).  Prior to Allica, Brian spent five years with Monitor Deloitte, where he supported tier 1 banks, challenger banks, and leading fintechs on corporate strategy and strategic initiatives. His contributions to the industry were recognised when he was named Young Achiever of the Year at the 2024 UK FinTech Awards.
