Jonny Fry

Jonny Fry is a recognised authority on blockchain, tokenisation, digital assets, stablecoins, artificial intelligence (AI), digital payments and the future of money, Jonny is an author of (Funny Money) and has more than 35 years' experience in banking, capital markets and asset management. He advises financial institutions, governments and technology companies on how emerging technologies are transforming banking, investment, capital markets and global commerce.  Jonny headed the Digital Assets Strategy at ClearBank Ltd, established in 2015 as the first new UK clearing bank authorised in more than 250 years. He is the founder of TeamBlockchain Ltd, publisher of Digital Bytes,, a weekly intelligence briefing launched in March 2018 that provides independent analysis of blockchain, AI, tokenisation, stablecoins, Web3, digital identity, programmable finance and agentic commerce. He is also a Director of London Digital Escrow Ltd, which provides insured self-custody digital wallets enabling secure peer-to-peer settlement of digital assets through integrated smart contracts, auditable transaction records and programmable payments for both people and autonomous AI agents. Jonny serves as Deputy Chair of TURN,, a reporting platform for the asset management industry and has advised numerous financial services and fintech organisations in the UK and internationally.  Previously, he was Chairman of Gemini Capital UK, where assets under management increased tenfold before the business was successfully sold. He also co-founded and served for over 20 years as Chief Executive Officer of Premier Asset Management Plc, a London Stock Exchange-listed investment management company. Throughout his career, Jonny has held board positions across regulated and private organisations, specialising in strategy, governance, digital transformation, regulation and corporate risk.
