Director of Strategic Solutions , CIFAS
Lloyd Emmerson is the Director of Strategic Solutions for CIFAS.  Lloyd graduated from the University of Northampton with an LLB Law degree in 2001.  He began his career working for Barclays Fraud team, an innovative and fast growing department within the Barclaycard network where he managed a computer system called ‘Falcon’ in aiding to assimilate cases of fraudulent activity throughout the world. The role also led to being part of the policy and rules team that formulated and implemented rules within the Falcon detection software. These rules would be based and implemented upon large quantities of transactional evidence that illustrated potential migratory patterns of card fraud.  He then progressed into a role unique to Argos at the time with a vast remit involving directing the business and tackling all risk issues relating to internal and external crime. One of his key responsibilities was the development and maintenance of intelligence systems and databases that enabled accurate capture and analysis of crime risk related business data. He was also responsible for formulating and applying data analysis techniques to develop and interpret information that assisted the reduction of shrinkage within the business from crime internally and externally, also involving the identification of weak procedures that impacted upon bottom line profits. He then moved back into the finance sector as the Cyber Crime and Digital Fraud Manager for Moneycorp moving from there to Lloyds Banking Group for 8 years where he held key positions such as Digital Fraud Manager and Lead Product Owner within the fraud domain.
