Sarah Davies is the Chief Finance Officer & Corporate Services Director at the RNLI, having joined the organisation in March 2025. She leads the finance, legal, and procurement functions, bringing a wealth of experience in strategic financial management and governance. Prior to joining the RNLI, Sarah served as the Finance & Commercial Director for the Royal Navy, where she oversaw the financial planning, governance, and investment assurance of an '8bn annual budget. Reporting directly to the First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Sir Ben Key, she also led procurement policy and commercial services, sat on both the Admiralty and Navy Boards, and was the lead Civil Servant in the Command. Sarah began her Civil Service career in 2013, holding roles in the Cabinet Office, Department for Culture, Media and Sport, and HM Revenue and Customs. In 2018, she moved to the Ministry of Defence as Finance Director for Head Office and Strategic Programmes, before joining the Royal Navy in 2020. Her earlier career includes seven years at PA Consulting and a role at Jaguar Land Rover. She has extensive board-level experience in both executive and non-executive roles, including as a non-executive director of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, and as Vice Chair of the Advisory Board of Greenwich Hospital, a charitable foundation supporting mariners. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys wing-foiling, running, skiing, wine tasting, and hands-on projects in her home workshop. She is also a joint owner of a classic motorboat that keeps her busy with ongoing maintenance, and lives in Winchester.
